When we say “virgin”, we mean “virgin” – land untouched by development. In one area, access arrangements with landowners and the community are being finalized. A route has been agreed by the community and through the village of Mangaliliu. The Community, represented by the Councils of Chiefs is in the process of application for Negotiator status to lease the land for the road from a group of landowners. Once this website goes live, this application to lease will be well advanced. To start with, a track will be forged along the Coast on the route surveyed. In other areas access is via the brand new Millennium Challenge funded circle island road.
